Day 29 - Wednesday 15th February

We thought we would check out the city today, so caught the bus into Rundle Mall. This is one of the interesting sculptures in the Mall.

From there we walked to the Convention Centre, along the Torrens river, to Adelaide oval cricket ground, and to the Anglican Cathedral, which all cricket fans would know, as they refer to the Cathedral end of the grounds. This is what we saw on the way.

Peter is trying to catch Don Bradman out!!!!

The stained glass windows and the carvings inside the cathedral are spectacular, but was very difficult for me to photograph it well.

This lady - the Honourable Dame Roma Mitchell - was Governor of South Australia, Chancellor of Adelaide University and Judge of the Supreme Court.

Adelaide is known as the "city of churches" but I think it should be the "city of sculptures" as they seem to be everywhere.
We certainly got our exercise today with all the walking and my feet were a bit sore by the time we got "home".
