Day 2

Today we headed down the Gore highway from Toowoomba, passing through Millmerran and onto Goondiwindi. There has been quite a lot of rain here the last week and there were 3 places where about 100mm of water was over the road, but the road was open and we were able to drive through. It had been closed earlier.
It's very hot here today - I think about 40. We are using the air-conditioning tonight for the first time.
Millmerran has a number of murals throughout the town. Pictured is the one on the water reservoir.





Goondwindi is situated on the border of Qld & NSW and is well known for the "Goondiwindi Grey" racehorse Gundsynd. The statue is pictured below.
