We headed off mid morning Monday for the Adria rally at South West Rocks. We stayed at Grafton Monday night and then had a short drive to SWR Tuesday. We arrived by lunch time, to be greeted by the other Adria van owners who had already arrived. There are 28 Adria vans here which I think is the biggest so far. Each rally seems to get bigger. We had Happy Hour as usual in the afternoon.
Yesterday we were to drive " up the mountain" for a BBQ lunch. Due to the weather forecast it was cancelled as the organizers were worried if we did get the predicted rain we could be stranded between one of the ten creek crossings. The road was also unsealed. However we had a fine day but you just never know and better to be safe. Peter and another van owner spent the morning trying to work out how to fix one of our windows. Didn't have much luck. Peter had a sleep after lunch then we went to Kempsey which is about a 45 minute drive from here. We went to church for Ash Wednesday which was at 5.30pm then had dinner at the pub before heading back to SWR.
Today Peter and I went to Trial Bay Gaol which is located here at South West Rocks. I had been there many years ago with Leisa and Nicole.
Below are the baths the prisoners bathed in. There was a partition between the baths for privacy - very thoughtful!
From there we wandered down to the water - it's not too rough yet with the cyclone up north.
